Lighthouse is a non-residential week long holiday club for children run by Christians from local churches in our area working together, bringing churches and communities together around children. Lighthouse is part of a nationwide initiative. You can see some of the fun from last year on the Facebook page of one of our partner churches.

“We are passionate about seeing children from all walks of life and abilities encountering God in a fun-filled week with teaching, sport, craft, performing arts and music. Many people describe Lighthouse as ‘the best week of the summer holidays’.

Lighthouse is aimed at children from 5 to 11 years old (reception to year 6). Some Lighthouses in other locations do run half or full day programmes for 4 years olds. Please take a look at further details of our local Lighthouse here. 

Lighthouse is staffed and run entirely by volunteers. We do not charge a set fee for children to attend but rely upon your donations and those of local churches, businesses and other generous benefactors.

To run Lighthouse for each child costs  between £50 and £75 which includes the costs of venue, tent hire, all the materials and, of course, the entertainment. We simply want to provide a great experience for your child. Please support us. Every donation, great or small makes a difference.
