We are all multiplying something:

The first command God gives to Adam and Eve, the first created human beings is that they would be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth. (Gen 1:28).

What I find fascinating is that the Genesis account of humanity actually talks about the multiplying of those who know God, they are called the sons of God and the multiplying of those who have rejected God and they are called the sons of men.
